The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed concerning the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The company point produced for intervention experiences a higher influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to help the servicing of sassa status all prospects and enhance access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
